Dr. Alaa Al-Ban became a symbol of the modern times of the Saudi Arabian society. Mother and wife, dynamic leader, driving force in numerous professional fields, interior designer of the new society ready to welcome the young Saudi generation.
She is amongst the first Saudis who has multi-disciplinary design background: Interior Design, Architecture and Planning, and Graphic Design. Advisor, Board member and Expert for multiple national initiatives that are aligned with the Saudi vision 2030.
Educated both in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and USA represents the perfect melange of talents, bringing together her pride Saudi heritage with the western intellectual values, opening the cross cultural dialog with friendship, diplomacy, elegance, strong attitude and dedication to her personal skills and visions.
Dr. Alaa is very much influential, inspirational, aspirational, creating her own professional path like a cultural journey, teaching and sharing her personal experiences with her audience, witnessing and participating in her nation’s great achievements, being herself a very important participant at the huge transformations created by His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and supported by the fabulous visions of the young Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud.

Dr. Alaa is the Chair of the Interior Design Department for 6 years, her style of leadership in academia is inspired from the market, where she turns the department into a design firm.
Taking real clients for studios and involving professionals from the market to be part of her
department.
In addition, Dr. Al-Ban chaired both Architecture and Fashion departments and served as the
Dean of The School of Design and Architecture heading more than 45 team and overseeing more than 400 students in different design fields.
Her career is expanded to the market as well, active in both professional practice as an interior designer, work across the Kingdom on Residential, Commercial and Historic Preservation projects.
Dr. Al Ban is living her life surrounded by active members of the society, building bridges of cooperation, developing great projects for long term, spreading her own influence over the youth, motivating them to be able to dream and achieve their own goals and visions.

Appreciate heritage and culture while implementing the new. «Saudi Arabia is today extremely famous for all the magnificent changes coordinated by His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
What is your personal feeling to be part of this historical Era?»
I’m honored to not only witness the changes but as well to be part of the realization of the vision 2030 of our beloved Kingdom.
Dr. Al Ban is part of the huge national development project as one of the leaders of MISK 2030 , passionate about hospitality and hotels design, gifted with a prolific education and practice able to embrace the values of both worlds eastern and western. Once again, cultural knowledge brings people together in the same spirit for a great future.
