Dr. Manal Helal is a renowned artist, Professor and Head of Sculpture and Architecture forming department, Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University and member of the Egyptian Parliament. She was awarded with numerous prizes and awards starting with her times as a student and became after 1998 one of the most celebrated artists of Egypt.
Considered an artist with excellent visionary ideas and great artistic projections, Manal Helal was awarded by the Society of Writers and Artists of Egypt for the scientific excellence and she won the First Prize in the National Exhibition in Cairo organized by the High Council of Youth in 2003.
Manal Helal realizes and creates sculptures and artworks with a delicate sense for beauty and modern lines.
She is innovative and very creative, dedicates to her sculptures the spiritual meaning of her Egyptian heritage but in the same time thanks to her acknowledgement and academic studies she creates a new path in to the Art life of the modern society in her country. Her long journey starting as a student until the nowadays speaks about the strong will of the artist to accomplish the highest level, spiritual and emotional, artistic and professional as a woman artist and as a citizen elected to be an active member in her country's parliament.
Dr. Manal Helal is a respected, representative artist in sculpture and architecture, giving new dimension to the image of the Egyptian woman as a driving motor in the professional field, career, social life and ofcourse art life.
The sculptures created by Dr. Manal Helal are in fact the expression of a complex personality, Professor and Mentor who knows exactly what is the meaning of being an artist with a strong message for the future generations.
