ROYAL ARTS VISIONS; The Hotel "Le Corbusier" enters the Club of Five

A Marseille exception rewarded:

The Hôtel Le Corbusier

enters the Club des Cinq

For its 20th anniversary, Le Corbusier has reached the age of consecration: it has just been distinguished by Gault & Millau as one of the five legendary hotels to stay in France. And in this prestigious ranking, it stands out for its uniqueness, being the only establishment located in a building classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the vision of the “Cité Radieuse”, Le Corbusier had imagined an autonomous village, a micro-city in the heart of Marseille. The hotel, nestled in its setting on the 3rd and 4th floors, perfectly meets this ambition by becoming a place for meetings and conviviality, celebrating architecture as much as gastronomy.

With its restaurant Le Ventre de l’Architecte, which has just received its first toque and its seminar space L’Annexe, the Hôtel Le Corbusier continues to welcome, in its 21 rooms, Marseillais and guests from all over the world in an experience that is both cultural and culinary, faithful to the visionary spirit of the architect.

An immersion in art and history

Designed and designed by Dominique and Alban Gerardin, the establishment is part of the tradition of Marseille exception while becoming a timeless emblem. Charlotte Perriand's furniture, the elegance of Jean Prouvé's "compass" style and Gaël Aulenti's Pipistrello lamps form a universe where modern design blends harmoniously with the architectural heritage of the Cité Radieuse. This perfect balance offers a warm and intimate atmosphere, enhanced by a breathtaking view of the Frioul Islands.

The age of recognition

In 20 years, this bold gamble has evolved without ever losing its soul. Over the course of its developments, from two to three stars, the Hôtel Le Corbusier has continued to reinvent itself, retaining an eternal youth. This ability to combine modernity and heritage, to be both a witness of its time and timeless, has seduced Gault & Millau.

By celebrating this unique place, it is the entire spirit of Marseille that is honored: bold, vibrant and deeply rooted in its history. A great recognition for Dominique Gerardin, who still watches over Le Corbusier's legacy today.
