ART AS REFLECTION
Marion Pilz, German contemporary artist declares that she is in search of her own artistic identity but something in her Artworks, oil canvas, acrylic or graphic tells me that actually she is very confident about who she really is.
Nationally multiple awarded, one of the most important award is for sure 2018 « Cross cultural Art announcement Award category plakat» independency and freedom «, at State School of Art in Poland .
In a world where many of us like to gloriously show that we know everything and we can everything, Marion Pilz create art to find responses at her questions.
She is brave enough, courageous enough and strong enough to show and recognize her own doubts and maybe weakness, to ask questions and find new ways of understanding, all at once while she is creating ,drawing, painting.
She considers Art as the best road to Knowledge, the best portal to self discovery and new perspectives not only as artist but as woman, human too in the same time. About her paintings, sometimes colourful, vibrant, other time agitated, always very expressive, Marion Pilz says « Art reflects , confronts and amuses.
It never floats in a vacuum, but arises in a social and cultural environment ». I think is one of the most beautiful statements said by a woman artist and for sure I agree with her.
The meaning of art isn't to isolate, but to bring people together , both artist and viewer , yes. Art is about building bridges.
The artist must be a communicator par excellence, using not words or phrases but colors and brilliance to convince people that our soul needs intellectual nurture, fresh ideas like fresh water and not at the end, new visions to touch new horizons.
Marion Pilz has a very strong artistic identity and if she believes that her artwork is still in construction, for sure the result will be a strong, perfect arch between cultures, nations , societies, visions and identities based on the two important key words of her 2018 Award as symbol : Independency and Freedom.
How do you describe your artistic personality?
My artistic personality consists of a wide range of interests, of imagination and beeing always interested in new things and variety. During my work I`m getting into questions I would have never been asking about. Through that I recover perspectives which would be always concealed. It is a way to understand the world and what keeps the world together. This requires an open mind to try to understand and process the various experiences, impressions and new things. Painting is a way to find my own constructive and artistic identity.
Do you consider your Art as modern and what exactly means «modern Art» ?
Contemporary art means, especially visual art, produced by contemporaries and perceived as significant by other contemporaries. Modern art is subjective, creates new things and contains its own design language. Most of all, I always try to present the essence of things. It is contemporary as it covers many issues in today's society and current political issues.
Do you have a personal artistic message ? Wich one?

What is the source for your inspiration and creativity?
First and foremost, this means a person's quality of being creative or creative. Just to have the ability to be creative or creative. I get my inspiration often through my closer Environment, as well as through my experiences - the conflict between humans and nature, as well as human misconduct as well the issues that hold the world together, it is thematized in my pictures.
Do you believe in Colours ?
Each color has a specific effect and thus appeals to a specific emotion. Using these associations consciously can evoke a certain emotion and behavior in the viewer. The meanings of the colors come from psychological effects, biological conditioning and cultural developments. The colours in my pictures cover the entire spectrum, signal tones meet diffuse depths. My works are characterized by using expressive colors and themes to supply the statement in the particular work. My works tend to strive agitated moments in the eye of the viewer.
What is your personal opinion about the Art market of nowadays and what is your driving force to continue your artistic Journey ?
Only a few could afford works of art, not the general public anymore, but the art market is growing nonetheless, especially in the internet.
At the same time, the price reflects at least in part the symbolic meaning that some works have on the present. However, the prices obstruct the view of what art is actually about and that is a shame and makes it unaffordable and unattainable for so many.
Art also means communication, expression, understanding and the development of new concepts. We need art and culture to overcome and deal with crises, just as we must not make art inaccessible through f.ex. closed museums.
Through art, artists can create, discover and communicate something new. That is why art is important for society in order to discuss and initiate social change.
