RACE WEEK RECAP FOR SATURDAY

NICE, France (Sep. 21, 2024) - There’s now just one more sleep until the biggest race day of the year for the women taking part in the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship in Nice. This afternoon, professional and age group athletes put the final touches on their preparation ahead of the big day, checking in their bikes and race gear before putting their feet up for the night.
The women's 2024 VinFast IRONMAN® World Championship triathlon in Nice, France takes place on Sunday, Sept 22. For the first time women will race the pinnacle event of triathlon in the French Riviera, and for the second time Nice will play dual host to the VinFast IRONMAN World Championship.
Le Banquet de Bienvenue: Last night, athletes and their supporters from around the world gathered for Le Banquet de Bienvenue (Welcome Banquet) at the Palais des Expositions. Attendees were treated to a full programme of performances and produced videos, and welcomed to the VinFast IRONMAN World Championship by Scott DeRue, CEO of The IRONMAN Group. Among other special guests, five-time IRONMAN World Champion Daniela Ryf who was honored for her incredible career after retiring in August.
