ROYAL ARTS VISIONS; 53rd ANTIBES ART FAIR

53rd ANTIBES ART FAIR

Modern Art Fair, Contemporary Art, Design, and Crafts

From April 12 to 21, 2025

Over the past half century, the Salon d'Antibes has earned its reputation. It is now the most important French art fair, after Paris, and one of the major events in Europe. It is unique in its attendance, the works presented, and its magical atmosphere overlooking the port of Antibes.

Each year, more than 15,000 visitors, collectors, art lovers, and enthusiasts faithfully gather to discover some of the finest pieces on the international art market: modern and contemporary art, antique jewelry, furniture, and designer objects. In all areas of Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, and Design: Authenticity, beauty, rarity, and originality are the watchwords!

The 53rd edition of the Salon d'Antibes promises to be magnificent (3,500 m²), with the presence of exceptional pieces and several new, renowned French, Belgian, and Italian exhibitors. Once again, the selected exhibitors will reserve the most exceptional pieces they unearth for this event. They know that this fair benefits from a unique and cosmopolitan clientele, inclined to fall in love or fall in love with a painting by a great master, a historical masterpiece, or an unusual object that will complete their collections or perfect the decoration of penthouses, villas, and yachts. On the walls, works by some of the most important artists of the 20th century or the contemporary art scene will rub shoulders with rare and sublime pieces of furniture and designer objects. Next door, the Design and Crafts space of the city of Antibes Juan-Les-Pins and the Tourist Office will showcase, over more than 1,000 m², a selection of creations by designers and craftspeople.

Modern and contemporary art, 20th- and 21st-century art objects, furniture and designer objects, and antiques—these are the main areas of focus at the Salon d'Antibes. In each of these sectors, the organizers have once again selected dealers, gallery owners, antique dealers, designers, and artisans from among the best French and international professionals.

From April 12 to 21, 2025, the Salon d'Antibes will welcome nearly 100 exhibitors spread across the large marquee (over 3,500 m²) and the open-air area.

Trust and quality: For several years, the Antibes Art Fair has implemented strict procedures to strengthen customer trust and further clarify the quality of the works presented. In this context, for example, works by the great masters of 20th-century painting and sculpture and contemporary art, presented during the fair, must be accompanied by a certificate (issued by the rights holder, the official expert or the artist's family, etc.) and/or detailed documents providing more complete information. These certificates are themselves sent to recognized experts for their opinion before the fair opens. These measures have met with the greatest satisfaction from clients and collectors, artists, artists' families, rights holders and galleries.

Crafts in Antibes:

Creative vitality without borders! The next edition of Crafts will take place within the Antibes Art Fair, from April 12 to 21, 2025, on the Port Vauban in the heart of Antibes' old town, under a marquee shared with the Modern and Contemporary Art Fair.

Discover the work and universe of each artist: furniture, tableware, jewelry, wall pieces, curiosities and collectibles... The designers will unveil unique and rare pieces created in their workshops, where their expertise is unparalleled and ensures the highest standards are maintained.

It should be noted that in 2016, the town of Antibes Juan-les-Pins received the prestigious "City and Crafts" label. Encompassing values and representing society's current aspirations, crafts respond to current changes in consumption patterns. Today, the public is encouraged to make more personal choices, and crafts meet their expectations and appetite for a unique or limited-edition piece, with a focus on quality and sustainability, more respectful and responsible for the environment, and a departure from standardized production.

Wood, metal, clay, silk, glass, paper—these are just some of the materials mastered by these creators with their own unique worlds. A showcase spanning over 1,000 m² featuring some forty French and foreign designers and artisans who have created everyday objects that the public and professionals can purchase in a varied price range while supporting their expertise.

This year, the guest of honor is Tunisia, a rich and colorful springtime event focused on the Mediterranean, at the crossroads of East and West. Tunisian design, showcased through Créative Tunisia, in partnership with the Tunisian National Office of Handicrafts, is experiencing a boom in all artistic fields, and design is no exception.

Offering a high-quality, tailor-made program that is demanding, accessible, and full of energy, reflecting the professionals of the crafts and the designers who bring them to life—such is the ambition of this unique trade fair in the region, where enthusiasts can unearth that rare gem. Discussions and conferences will also be at the heart of this week of discovery. This will be an opportunity for the general public and professionals to meet in person

with exhibitors, as well as to visit the workshops of the artisans of the city of Antibes Juan-les-Pins.

Decorative Arts, Fine Arts, Design

Initially dedicated to antiques, the Salon d'Antibes has regularly evolved to reflect trends and tastes. This includes incorporating interior design trends well before most other fairs, while perpetuating a tradition of excellence and a unique atmosphere. These trends were notably inspired by Andrée Putman, who was one of the first to combine antique furniture with the creations of the most illustrious representatives of modern and then contemporary art.

In Antibes, art galleries dedicated to modern and contemporary art, followed by dealers specializing in vintage furniture, photography, street art, design, and fashion accessories, have been part of the fair for many years, to the delight of discerning art lovers and collectors who no longer hesitate to combine works of art and furniture from different styles and periods. For two years, creation and crafts have occupied a prominent place thanks to the Crafts space, which is dedicated to them over more than 1,000 m².

Booths designed like veritable galleries

From one booth to the next, visitors to the Antibes Art Fair discover paintings by the great masters of modern and contemporary art, presented as if on the walls of a museum. In the Design and Crafts area, contemporary creations by designers and artisans are showcased in a space where modernity, creativity, and excellent craftsmanship shine forth from all sides. This is also the spirit of the Salon d'Antibes: simplicity meets exception, with outdoor spaces adjoining museum-quality works and art objects installed in the large marquee, with, in all cases, a guarantee of beauty and quality at all prices.

The most beautiful journey combining art and decoration!

Visiting the Antibes Art Fair is a marvelous journey through booths, each offering unique, rare, and exceptional pieces. Works by the greatest artists of 20th-century and contemporary painting and sculpture, as well as major names in design and crafts, interact with furniture, jewelry, and objets d'art. The Antibes Art Fair never ceases to surprise and challenge the codes of decoration, selecting new exhibitors each year who are emblematic of the latest trends in collecting and decoration, while continuing to select some of the most cutting-edge professionals in all fields.

Visiting the Antibes Art Fair also means reconnecting with a great French tradition: the celebration of an art of living that transforms your home into a true showcase of elegance and refinement. The audience, composed of loyal collectors and enthusiasts, both French and foreign, knows this. They come back in large numbers every year to visit the show and dream, for the pleasure of the eyes or to treat themselves, among the thousand and one wonders offered on its stands, the most sumptuous or the one that will simply correspond to their desires!

Once upon a time, there was the Salon d'Antibes...
Since its creation in 1970, the show has been managed by a non-profit association, the ACAAFVA, chaired by Gérard Fantino. This guarantees the independence and integrity of its organizers, who have a single goal: to bring together professionals, amateurs, and collectors to share a common passion. All this while contributing to making the Antibes site a unique place that celebrates the art of living on the Mediterranean coast, combining timeless tradition and modernity!
From its very first edition, the Salon d'Antibes has taken place at the foot of the ramparts of Antibes, the very place where the Phocaeans founded the ancient city of Antipolis. Facing the port and just a stone's throw from the narrow streets, the market, and the restaurant and café terraces that give Old Antibes all its charm and authenticity. To this land blessed by the gods, a true seaside Garden of Eden, artists will never cease to come to enjoy the Côte d'Azur's climate, its gentle way of life, its landscapes, and its unique light.
These same artists from the South, some of whose exceptional masterpieces will once again be admired and acquired during the Salon d'Antibes: Marc Chagall, Raoul Dufy, Hans Hartung, Bernard Buffet, Ladislas Kijno, Fernand Léger, Arman, César, Bernar Venet, Robert Combas, Hervé Di Rosa, Plensa...
