ROYAL ARTS VISIONS; Princess Charlène in an Elie Saab jumpsuit to close the Monte-Carlo Television Festival

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène of Monaco attended the closing ceremony of the 63rd Monte-Carlo Television Festival. On Tuesday evening, the jury, chaired by actor David Boreanaz, gave its verdict during a glamorous evening. To attend this prestigious event, Princess Charlène wore a jumpsuit by the luxury Lebanese fashion house Elie Saab.

An immaculate closing ceremony for Princess Charlène

On 14 June, Prince Albert II attended the opening ceremony of the 63rd Monte-Carlo Television Festival, in the presence of American actor Morgan Freeman, who received an honorary lifetime achievement award. Over the past few days, the jury, chaired by actor David Boreanaz, has viewed dozens of high-quality international productions.

On 19 June 2024, it was time for the long-awaited moment: the presentation of the jury prizes. Prince Albert II, 66, and Princess Charlène, 46, honoured the jury, the winners and the public with their presence. Prince Albert was also accompanied by Princess Stéphanie's children. Louis Ducruet and his sister, Camille Gottlieb, were there with Marie, Louis' wife, who showed off her rounded belly for the first time. Marie announced the day before that she was expecting a second child.

The Gathering and Night Therapy honoured at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival

Princess Charlène lit up the blue carpet in front of the Grimaldi Forum. The wife of the Monegasque head of state wore light make-up and an immaculate white outfit. She wore a jumpsuit with an asymmetrical neckline. A cape, also asymmetrical, covered half of her body, including one arm and one leg. The jumpsuit was designed by Elie Saab, revealing parts of her body through lace.

During the evening, the awards were announced. The Golden Nymph for Best Film went to the Swedish drama Little Did I Know. The Golden Nymph for Best Series went to the British thriller The Gathering. The Golden Nymph for Best Creation went to the creators of the New Zealand mini-series Madam. The Golden Nymph for Best Actress went to Eva Morgan, the young heroine of The Gathering. The award for Best Actor went to Warren Brown, who also plays in The Gathering.

The Special Jury Prize goes to the Israeli series Night Therapy. The Audience Award goes to the German post-apocalyptic drama Helgoland 513. The AMADE prize goes to the Swedish drama Mines of Death. The Monegasque Red Cross Prize went to the Spanish drama The Law of The Sea. Documentaries also received awards. Meteorologist Sven Plöger received the Prince Rainier III Special Prize for his documentary on the current climate phenomenon "El Niño".
