In 2025, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco is celebrating its quarter century with a major new feature: the extension of its spaces as part of Mareterra, the Principality's new eco-district. This project for the Principality's convention and culture centre offers 6,000 m² of additional modular spaces, including 2,000 m² outdoors, to support the growth of events and attract new customers. The extension benefits from HQE certification and meets the highest environmental standards, thus continuing the establishment's sustainable commitments.

Since its opening in 2000, the Grimaldi Forum has been able to meet the growing expectations of business tourism and culture. Welcoming today more than 300,000 visitors each year for 100 events, it has consolidated its leading position in Europe, with prestigious events such as UEFA, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival and trade shows such as Luxe Pack and Top Marques.

At the same time, it has become a cultural reference, with internationally renowned exhibitions and a varied program of live shows. The Grimaldi Forum generates 70 million euros of indirect economic benefits each year, thus actively contributing to the local economy. Certified ISO 14001 and ISO 20121, it also stands out for its social and environmental commitment. For example, the establishment reduced its carbon footprint by 33% compared to 2019 and in 2024, it redistributed 3 tonnes of food not consumed at its events to associations.

To celebrate this double event - the extension and its 25 years of success - a grand evening was organized on January 16, 2025, in the presence of T.H.S. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, and nearly 1,000 guests. After an introduction marking the long-standing partnership with CMB Monaco, a unique show in the Salle des Princes retraced the formidable human adventure of the Grimaldi Forum, through six tableaux combining dance and video, created with the support of the Choreographer-Director of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Jean-Christophe Maillot.

This show was performed by international choreographic artists Olga Smirnova and Victor Caixeta, as well as by the students of the Princess Grace Academy, under the direction of Luca Masala. This artistic moment was followed by the inauguration of the extension by T.H.S. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, and by her blessing by Father Jean-Ariel Bauza-Salinas o.p.

The evening continued with the discovery of the new spaces, with a cocktail dinner, then an Electro Winter Party hosted by BON ENTENDEUR, PARALLELLE and DJ BALOO, offered guests a festive experience to close this celebration in style!

The extension of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco
With the creation of Mareterra, the new eco-district of Monaco, the Grimaldi Forum is reinventing itself in a new environment (6 hectares by the sea including 27,000 m2 of vegetation and 19,000 m2 of pedestrian zones, not far from the beaches of Larvotto offering promenades, restaurants and shops).

• An extension connected to the existing building thanks to a direct link with the Diaghilev exhibition hall
• Also accessible via an independent exterior entrance located on the pine forest side

According to the standards of the recommendations of the BREEAM research organization, which evaluates the environmental performance of buildings.
• Certified HQE Sustainable Development, certifying that it meets all the challenges of sustainable development.
• Like the original building, the extension of the Grimaldi Forum Monaco:
◦ benefits from natural and efficient thermal insulation, using cellular glass insulation, a recyclable material that meets the High Environmental Quality criterion.
◦ benefits from the same monitoring and investment policy, but also from equipment maintenance, which is based on efficient Centralized Technical Management of the building: programming of air conditioning, lighting, water monitoring and overflow management. 3,600 control points make up the GTC of this new part of the GFM.
◦ uses seawater as renewable energy and has a waste sorting center.

To mark this event, a new communication campaign is being launched, aimed at increasing the awareness of the NEW GRIMALDI FORUM MONACO and reaffirming its position as an exceptional convention and culture center and integrating the establishment's 25th anniversary logo.

renew their partnership and celebrate the 20th anniversary since their first collaboration!
The leading private bank in Monaco is once again the official partner of the Principality's Culture and Convention Center! The agreement for this premium partnership extends throughout 2025, an important year for the Grimaldi Forum, which not only celebrates its 25th anniversary and the extension of its building, but also celebrates the 20th anniversary of its first partnership agreement with CMB Monaco.
Signed by the President of CMB Monaco Etienne Franzi and its Managing Director Francesco Grosoli, with the President of the Grimaldi Forum Henri Fissore and its Managing Director Sylvie Biancheri, the agreement covers support for the cultural programming of the Grimaldi Forum in the Principality as well as for all of its business tourism activities.
While being associated with the image of the Grimaldi Forum, CMB Monaco allows the latter to develop its cultural offering and contributes alongside it to the influence of the Principality.
CMB Monaco and Grimaldi Forum are also coming together on CSR values and have already carried out joint projects together for the benefit of the associations Les Enfants de Frankie and Monaco Disease Power.
