Prince Albert II of Monaco concluded his tour of South-East Asia and the Pacific with a stopover in Singapore, where the Prince Albert Foundation organised its grand charity ball on the theme of glaciers.

Prince Albert II of Monaco concludes his tour in Singapore
After participating in an expedition on the theme of preserving the seabed with Leonardo DiCaprio in the Solomon Islands, Prince Albert II sailed back up the Pacific towards Singapore. Singapore is a city-state that is made up of several islands. The main island, Pulau Ujong, is located under the mainland of Malaysia.

Singapore is a republic of 719 square kilometers. Monaco is a principality of 2 square kilometers. Both countries have in common the high population density. With its 6 million inhabitants, Singapore has a density of 8300 inhabitants per square kilometer. With more than 39,000 inhabitants, Monaco has a density of more than 19,000 inhabitants per square kilometer.

In Singapore, Prince Albert II met with the country's authorities and many entrepreneurs. The Monegasque Head of State also met with leaders of NGOs and companies specializing in the blue economy and more particularly those linked to the collection and recycling of plastic products.

Gala of the Prince Albert II Foundation on the theme of glaciers in Singapore
In the evening, this November 27, the Singapore office of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation organized a large charity gala to support the actions of the Monegasque foundation. The Singapore branch is headed by Jacky Deromedi. The president of the Singapore office had organized an evening on the theme of glaciers, in connection with the theme of global warming.

Earlier today, at the 8th Ocean Innovators Platform hosted by the Prince Albert II Foundation at Marina Bay Sands, Prince Albert II said: “Investments in sustainable aquaculture, ocean renewable energy and marine biodiversity restoration hold enormous potential for ecological impact and financial returns.” Prince Albert urged stakeholders to act with ambition and pragmatism, highlighting the rare alignment between benefits for the planet and opportunities for investors.
