THE YOUNG TUNISIAN AS DRIVING FORCE FOR GLOBAL CHANGES
Rahma Sheikh is one of the most interesting young personalities of the women empowerment movement.
Ready for great changes, well prepared and highly educated, she is impressive and very much focused on her social, intellectual and environmental duties and perspectives.

In September 2021, the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition selected me among more than 8700 young people to be an official delegate to the Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition event in Milan to work on environmental issues and then present the work to different Ministers at COP26.
Following this event, with various young people I met, we decided to create the MENA Youth Network organization. It is a network that aims to connect young people in order to share our ideas and find solutions to environmental issues related to the Middle East and North Africa region.
I then graduated with honors in political science and international relations. After that, I went in June 2022 to the United Nations Campus in Bonn to work with diplomats and different stakeholders on issues related to climate education, access to information, and other issues in the framework of the Paris Agreements.
Then, as a Youth4Climate delegate, I was invited to the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition to participate in the African Climate Week in Gabon, which took place from the end of August to September.
The African Climate Week was a crucial step in preparation for COP27. During this African
Climate Week, I had the opportunity to learn more about Africa by working with African diplomats.
After that, I went to Denmark in September to continue my studies.
I am currently studying for a Master’s degree in International Relations with a strong focus in sustainability and governance.

From Tunisia, Gabes to Italy or other countries, Rahma Sheikh speaks about her motivations to gives new, larger perspective to the society.

MENA YOUTH NETWORK established by the young Tunisian Rahma Sheikh is a young organization exploring the solutions and resources for access to information, youth development and informational exchanges.
Committed to sustainability and ecology, Rahma Sheikh participates to numerous conferences and activities speaking about a clean climate as a greater solution for performances and huge, beneficial accomplishments.
